WE MUST SUSTAIN THE DEVELOPMENT MOMENTUM OF DR. ALEX OTTI — ENGR. ODUM CHARGES TOWN PLANNERS

The Director General of Greater Ohafia Development Authority (GODA), Engr. Obinna Odum, has, in line with the directives of the Executive Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, mandated all developers operating within Abia North to obtain their Abia State Social Identification Number (ABSSIN).

He gave this mandate earlier today during a top management meeting of the Greater Ohafia Development Authority, comprising the five local governments of Abia North: Arochukwu, Ohafia, Bende, Umunneochi, and Isuikwuato.

This measure, according to Engr. Odum, is a part of the administration’s broader strategy to ensure proper regulation and accountability in urban development.

He further reiterated the government’s commitment to developing the Abia North region evenly, charging the town planners to maintain the same momentum introduced by Dr. Alex Otti in the development of the entire Abia State.

The various local government town planning authorities, through their respective executive secretaries, presented detailed proposals outlining potential development programs to address the challenges hindering uniform development across different areas within Abia North.

The proposals included layouts for essential facilities such as markets, motor parks, slaughterhouses, mechanic villages, golf courses, and many more. In his response, the DG assured them that structural development would commence upon approval from the Executive Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR.

Present at the all-important meeting were Engr. Oguh Kelechi Samuel, Tpl Chibuzor Enyinnanya, Mrs. Chidera Ngozi, Tpl Azunna Otumchere, Tpl Ahuruonye Emmanuel, Tpl Godson Uchechukwu, Mr. Ibem Agwu Mba, Mr. Imediegwu Ifeanyi, and Tpl Ahuruonye Okezie C.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to collaborate effectively and drive the administration’s vision for a more prosperous and well-planned Abia North and Abia State at large.
