Hon. Evoh Okechukwu, has been elected the President of the National Councillors Forum of Nigeria. He has recently shared some exciting updates as well. As the leader of the forum, which comprises approximately 8,806 councillors across Nigeria’s 774 Local Government Areas (LGAs), Hon. Notably, out of the 6,417 councillors in attendance, 10 were from the South East, with 2 from Ebonyi State, 7 from Enugu State, and 1 from Imo State. What’s more impressive is that Hon. Okechukwu emerged victorious in the election, securing 5,892 votes out of 6,417. This marks a historic milestone, as he is the first individual from the South East region to win the position.
Hon. Okechukwu also expressed his gratitude to the Plateau Governor for welcoming him. This development underscores the growing influence and recognition of the National Councillors Forum of Nigeria, as well as Hon. Okechukwu’s leadership within the organization.
We look forward to rousing welcome in Ebonyi State as well since our son has carried this torch and made the state proud.
