As we approach the November 2 LGA elections, I want to emphasize the importance of agricultural innovation and development in our community. As your representative, I will prioritize initiatives that boost our agricultural sector, create jobs, and ensure food security.
Inspired by the Netherlands’ success in agricultural exports, I envision Ohafia becoming a hub for agricultural excellence in Abia State. We will:
- Establish farmer training programs, focusing on modern techniques and technology.
- Provide access to financing and equipment for local farmers.
- Develop irrigation systems to combat drought and ensure all-year-round farming.
- Promote agroforestry and regenerative practices to protect our environment.
- Support women and youth in agriculture through empowerment programs.
