This Year Nomination Of First Elevens’ Distinguished Personalities Of The Igbo Great Achievers From The South East Region Of Nigeria , Including Delta , Rivers And Other Igbo Speaking States, In Their Different Fields Of Endeavour Are On-Going, Which Will End On The 15th November 2024.
Heralds of the Igbo Great Achievers can begin to nominate and field the names of Who is Who and Who Does What in Igbo Land with preponderance of evidence of their landmarks, uncommon and monumental achievements, with the aim of celebrating and honouring them on a day set aside as , THE GREAT IGBO ACHIEVERS LEGACY DAY CELEBRATION”
Nominations are based on the eloquent testimonies from Igbo Traditional Rulers, Igbo President-Generals of Town Unions , Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide , Igbo Bishops/Archbishops, Igbo Amaka, Igbo Ezue, Nzuko Ndigbo, World Igbo People’s Assembly, Umuada Ndigbo Worldwide and other Igbo Organisations, should be secured to authenticate the proof of monumental achievements of “THE GREAT IGBO ACHIEVERS”.
The climax of the nominations/ recommendations will lead to the celebration and honouring of Igbo Great Achievers, under the eagle’s eye , wisdom and knowledge of the Twenty-Four Elder-Statesmen National Advisory Council of “THE GREAT IGBO ACHIEVERS” from the South East Region of Nigeria, including Delta , Rivers and Igbo Speaking States. The Great Igbo Achievers is led by the National President; Chief Dr. Simon Nsobundu Okeke, OFR (Ochendo Ndigbo), former Chairman; Police Service Commission (PSC), which holds on a day set aside as “THE GREAT IGBO ACHIEVERS LEGACY DAY CELEBRATION”.
The Alaigbo Achievers Legacy, also known as the Great Igbo Achievers, has inaugurated a twenty four elder-statesmen National Advisory Council, ahead of her legacy day celebration. The Patrons and Patronesses drawn from all the states and communities of Igbo indigeneity in Nigeria
ESTABLISHMENT OF TWO COMMITTEES:*
Similarly, the Alaigbo Achievers Legacy, in collaboration with the United Igbo Elders Council, Worldwide (UNIEC), has constituted two Committees from various parts of the Igbo society, to put processes in motion for the success of this year’s awards ceremonies.
1.A Twenty One -Man Planning Committee, headed by His Lordship Justice Alpha Ikpeama that would make all necessary arrangements, including logistics, for the success of the ceremonies.
2.A Seven-Man Candidates Selection Committee, under the delegation of the Alaigbo Achievers Legacy National President, and the Director-General Justice Ikpeama, as one of the six other members. The Committee would tour places, examine online and empirical records, to identify and assess candidates nominated for the awards, as well as make recommendations that could be considered final.
The Alaigbo Achievers Legacy, also known as THE GREAT IGBO ACHIEVERS, is an independent legal entity, a home-driven and delivery investment organization, dedicated to the recognition of individuals and corporate organizations towards excellence, in line with the Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development Philosophy of Aku Ruru Ulo, to promote good societal values and right ideals within the Igbo nation.
The Great Igbo Achievers was conceptualized mainly to adequately and constructively examine landmark achievements and signature legacy projects of notable Igbo individuals and corporate bodies with proven integrity, hard work and dedication for recognition and honour. The Awards are organized annually to celebrate and honour these landmark and uncommon achievers, captains of industry and accomplished entrepreneurs within Igbo nation and beyond, and would include even non-Igbo entities with positive impacts on the Igbo.
The Alaigbo Achievers Legacy in collaboration with the United Igbo Elders Council Worldwide, is committed to showcasing the Igbo and like-minded Nigerians to the world, as contribution to nation-building.
Membership of the organisation is open to approved purpose-driven Igbo men and women in all fields of human endeavour with proven interest in the Vision and Mission of the Great Igbo Achievers.
