BENJAMIN KALU’S OFTEN MISPEAK IS BORN OUT OF BADLY TEMPERED ARROGANCE.
I want to believe that the huge perks of office surrounding Benjamin Kalu is still allowing him to think well. He’s many a times exhibiting traits that are symptomatic of person who’s mental frame got disorganized by hyper activity induced stress disorder. He is advised to seek urgent medical help.
How else can one explain his misdemeanor or what other prognosis can we proffer the anxious public who are very shocked by his trending video clips where he is seen boasting unscrupulously and reading the riot act to the Abia people and their governor, Dr. Alex Otti not to dare him in 2027.
His outing was a poor delivery in incendiary political apostasy devoid of any iota of respect to his sacred and highly coveted office. His similar video outing in the past warning and blackmailing us Ndi Igbo against joining the nationwide mass protests are still leaving fresh scares on our psyche. Now this one that threw decorum and decency overboard has heightened public perception about his rabid immaturity and lack of capacity for his vaunted No.6 position.
Benjamin Kalu at every point is disappointing many of us who have no business or reasons fighting him and his much vaunted position. His tendency at attracting needless enemies to himself is legendary. What exactly are his crush with 2027 elections?. Is it not more profitable for him to strategize quietly towards 2027 than all this political harakiri of wanting to drag all of us into his potopoto fight of the pigs?
Benjamin Kalu should be reminded that he was managed and manipulated into second tenure in the House of Representatives by those who believed it would pave the way for his ascending to the Office of the Deputy Speaker which hitherto was already zoned to the Southeast east. It was a political calculation which got the leadership of Labour Party, some political vested interests including governor Dr. Alex Otti to put regional interest above self interest. So how did we offend Representative Benjamin Okezie Kalu.
Why is Abia people always having problems with leaders that goes by the name Okezie? This video clip is cantankerous, senseless, illogical, malevolent and very insensitive to the forward mood of Abians who are seeing what looks like governance for the first time since 24 years of practicing democracy.
Benjamin Okezie Kalu must be advised to desist from attempting any further odious video messaging because he lacks the intellectual mien of benign dramatis personae required to address his people’s psychological escapism.
He should further be advised to utilize the enormous federal powers available to him and his office to better the lot of his constituency at least. The road leading from Umuahia and passing through his village house at Bende and traversing to Ohafia is totally in disrepair. He managed just a little palliative repair on that road when he recently hosted a federal delegation of APC leadership on national assignment. The little work done then patching the road has all fallen apart and completely washed away.
The bridge connecting Ohafia at Igwu river along the same Bende road is still colonial Omenuko bridge, not deserving of his much vaunted status and position as the No.6 man in the country. He should urgently address the issues of that bridge without further delay.
Soldiers posted in front of his village house in Bende are still humiliating and treating Abia citizens as prisoners of war in their own country right in front of his house. Tell me how Abians will now see him, Benjamin Kalu as the messiah to come in 2027 if not to come and rub shoulders and show federal force.
We expect the Office of the Deputy Speaker and No.6 man in the country to start the process of legislation that will de-militarize the Southeast region and start the process of building cohesion and reintegration of the Southeast people as fellow Nigerians. That is how powerful the No.6 man can go in supporting his people, not boasting to appropriate the office of the governor of his state which will vehemently be resisted.
