That I’m Obi’s Lawyer Doesn’t Stop Me From Saying The Truth. Obi Doesn’t Promote Fake News- Okutepa
A popular Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist, Jibrin Okutepa, SAN, has countered those who are linking the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, with the alleged news of Bola Tinubu meeting with the CJN, stating it clearly that Peter Obi doesn’t support or promote fake news.
While speaking, Mr Okutepa made it known that in as much as he is in the legal team of of Peter Obi, it doesn’t stop him from speaking the truth, noting that Peter Obi doesn’t represent and doesn’t promote fake news.
Furthermore, he noted that those who are attributing the news of CJN disguising to meet a named politician to Peter Obi are mischievous and satanic. He went on and stated it clearly that the former Anambra State governor has respect and strong confidence in the judiciary and that is the main reason he approached the court for justice.
In addition, he stated that they all prayed for justice and the justice they prayed for is what they are expecting to get. He went on and noted that those who are attributing the news which was intended to denigrate the CJN to Peter Obi’s camp are evil and enemies of Nigeria.
It should be recalled that it was recently reported that the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola disguised himself, so as to meet with the APC presidential candidate and President elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in London. Some Nigerians then came out and claimed that the said news came from the camp of Mr Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar.
