ABIA NORTH CONSENSUS GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE SCREENING COMMITTEE VISITS SIR CHIKWE UDENSI.
The Abia North Consensus Candidate Screening committee yesterday Saturday 30th July, 2022 visited Sir Chikwe Udensi in his country home at Arochukwu.
Sir Chikwe Udensi who is a long time member of APGA and also Board of trustee is one of the Aspirants in the last APGA Governorship Primaries in Abia State. He lost the Primary Election to Prof. Greg Ibe but is challenging the outcome of the Primaries in court because according to him the list of delegates used in the Primaries was not the authentic one.
Since the matter is still in court, fairness demanded that the committee visits him as one the contenders of the Abia State Governorship Seat from Abia North extraction.
Sir Chikwe Udensi told the visiting team that he will give Prof. Greg Ibe 100% of his Support if he wins him in court and also expects him to do same if he wins.
When asked if this will not affect the chances of his party in the forthcoming Governorship Election. He responded saying that it won’t in anyway rather it will increase their chances since they will all be working with clean and open mind to win the election. He further said that advising him to withdraw the matter from Court is akin to promoting criminality and that there still have enough time to support one another after determination of the case in court next month.
After answering questions asked by the screening Committee, he applauded the initiative of the Abia North Political Projects in going for Consensus Candidate as that is the only way Abia North can win the forthcoming Governorship Election. He promised to support and work with any Candidate the committee selects in the interest of the good people of Abia North and Abians in general. He advised the committee to be free, fair and just to all Candidates as that’s the only way our people will have confidence in the report of the committee.
The team lead and DG Abia North Political Projects 2023 Dr. Uduma Nnate, in his closing remarks thanked Sir Chikwe Udensi for finding time to host them and promised to be fair to all Candidates in this very important assignment. He further said that they will continue to follow up with his Political activities till they come out with their reports.
