Gov Fubara Suspends Local Govt Chairman The Rivers state governor, Siminialayi Fubara, has suspended the local government committee chairman of the Akuku-Toru local government area, Otonye Briggs. Fubara in a statement signed on Tuesday, September 17, by his chief press secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, said Briggs had been suspended with immediate effect The governor directed Bitebobo Nelson Amieye, to immediately take over as the caretaker committee chairman of the council.
