Nigerian Army Reschedules Recruitment Exercise The Nigerian Army has announced a major update regarding the 89 Regular Recruit Intake (89RRI) recruitment exercise. In a newly released statement, authorities confirmed that the exercise has been rescheduled to take place from June 8 to June 21, 2025, as against the previously scheduled dates of June 2 to June 16, 2025. All shortlisted candidates were advised to disregard the earlier schedule and prepare in line with the revised dates. Finland Begins Terrorism Trial Against Simon Ekpa The trial of the self-acclaimed Biafra agitator, Nigerian-Finnish, Simon Ekpa, commenced in Finland on Friday. Ekpa, who heads a faction of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was charged with terrorism offences by the Finnish authorities on May 16, 2025. The deputy prosecutor general in Finland charged Ekpa with public incitement to commit a crime with terrorist intent and participation in a terrorist group.
