Emir Sanusi Defies Police Ban, Holds Sallah Durbar in Kano The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, has gone ahead with the traditional celebration of the Sallah Durbar despite a police ban against it. Sanusi is leading a procession through the city. Earlier, the Emir had led Eid prayers and a sermon at the Kofar Mata Jumu’at mosque, which was attended by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and other cabinet members.
