EROSION ALERT: AMAEKPU OHAFIA — GULLY THREATENS HOMES BEHIND COMMUNITY SCHOOL Residents of Amaekpu Ohafia in Ohafia LGA have raised fresh alarm over a fast-expanding gully erosion behind Amaekpu Community School, along Onyirimba Road. The gully, close to the compound of Mrs. Chioma Ekea Onyirimba, has continued to deepen after recent heavy rains, threatening nearby homes, farmlands, and the school fence. Locals say if urgent steps are not taken, part of the school premises and adjoining buildings could be swallowed.
