10 Dead, 40 Hospitalised In Fresh Diphtheria Outbreak No fewer than 10 persons have been confirmed dead as a result of diphtheria outbreak in Kano State. The state’s Commissioner of Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran, who confirmed the resurgence to newsmen in the state, said the persons died within a period of one week. Dr. Labaran also said 40 other patients were currently hospitalized and receiving medical treatments.
