UKO NKOLE TEAM FLAGS THE CHOICE.NG “ONE CHANCE “MOCK POLLS .
Our attention has been drawn to a purported perpetual Online Mock Election circulating on social media which has lasted for over 24 hours.
While we acknowledge that Rt. Hon. Uko Ndukwe Nkole the Abia North Senatorial Candidate Nigeria Democratic Congress is currently leading in the said poll in the Abia North zone , we wish to categorically disassociate ourselves from the unprofessional conduct of the said One Choice.ng . Online perpetual mock election activity.
Owing from several other notable unprofessional conduct of the same online agent with unknown identity physical contact /active email and active phone number where complaints of breaches and fraud arising from the purported online exercise could be made for proper redress ,the Office of Rt. Hon. Uko Ndukwe Nkole the NDC Senatorial Candidate Abia North and her supporters have withdrawn from the activities of this faceless entity and illegitimate exercise.
For the avoidance of doubt, the said mock election is inconsistent with Nigeria extant laws guiding ballot hours, counting, announcement of results and is contrary to the provisions section 47(2) and 60 respectively of the Electoral Act, 2026 (as amended) .
No organization, group or platform should act ultra vires by conducting an election that violates the law. Mock polls must be guided by law and electoral guidelines.
We therefore urge the organizers to note that the mock polls officially ended about 4pm today and all the results shown at the material time could only be said to be credible and the authentic outcome of the poll and any other result beyond 4pm today 27/10/2026 shall remain unlawful not credible, cyber fraud and remains functus officio .
The members of the public should disregard any poll result that post dates 4pm today 27/10/206 as it does not represent the official position of INEC, and that of Abia North Senatorial Zone a body created by and operated under the extant laws and regulations of our country.
While remain committed to a lawful and credible electoral process even though Rt Hon Nkole won overwhelmingly at close of the vote within the official 24hour window provided by law and also leading beyond the lawful allowed time ,we believe in due diligence Intergrity and credibility of every single process we therefore call on the respective relevant government regulatory and law enforcement authorities to do the needful early.
