EDUCATION WILL REMAIN MY PRIORITY – NDC SENATORIAL CANDIDATE UKO NKOLE AS HE RECOUNTS HIS NUMEROUS EDUCATIONAL INTERVENTIONS AS HOUSE OF REPS MEMBER FOR AROCHUKWU/OHAFIA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY
In an interview with ATTNEWS crew, the NDC Senatorial candidate for Abia North in the forthcoming 2027 Election said education will be a priority for him when he becomes the Senator representing the good people of Abia North. We have done it before while serving the people of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency as house of Representative member. We will do far more, he boasted recounting several provisions and interventions he provided and attracted during his tenor amongst which are listed below
SCHOOL/PROVISION OF ACADEMIC MATERIALS:
- Attraction of a solar-based E-learning centre with over 40 computer sets at Abam High School, Ozu Abam.
- Registration of First School Leaving Certificate Examination for over 600 indigent pupils in Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
- Constructed and equipped a Block of 3Classrooms at Okweji Memorial Primary School, Ozu Abam.
- Provision of School Desks and Exercise Books for Amaogudu Community School, Abiriba.
- Sponsored a Bill for an Act to Establish the Federal Polytechnic Abiriba which has scaled .
- Already, the take-off site and the facilities at Onarubi Technical Secondary School, Abiriba have been inspected and approved.
- Provision of School Desks for Amamba/Ukpo Community School, Abiriba.
- Provision of school desks for Ofali Agwu Community School, Amaekpu Ohafia.
- Construction of 5 classroom blocks in Amankwu Ohafia.
- In partnership with CHAMA (A Canada-based NGO), Hon. Uko Nkole built a six classroom block at Ndi Aku Ohafia, a village in Ohafia that has existed for 100 years without any Elementary school.
- Construction of five Classroom blocks and a Laboratory for Obiene Technical School, Ututu.
- Reconstruction of Utughuiyi Primary School, Isu.
Construction and furnishing of a block of 6classroms at Obieze Isu. - Construction and furnishing of an Administrative block for Nkporo Comprehensive Secondary School, Nkporo Ohafia.
- Provision of school desks and executive office furniture to Nkporo Comprehensive Secondary School, Nkporo Ohafia.
- Attracted the construction of classroom blocks at Umunneabuo Secondary Technical School, Umuchiakuma, Ihechiowa.
- Rehabilitation and furnishing of a block of 5classrooms at Ndiememe Abam Primary School.
-Construction of 2 units of 3classroom blocks each at Egwuenna girls secondary School Abiriba.
-A block of 3 classrooms at Central School OzuAbam.
-A block of 3 classroom blocks at Ndi Oji Abam done under the auspices I made to ANOA.
OTHER EDUCATIONAL INTERVENTION/DISTRIBUTION
The public primary schools in the federal constituency benefited from my intervention in the area of provision of modern educational and instructional materials including the training of her teachers both secondary and primary schools in modern teaching techniques;
- Presented the Modern Educational and Instructional Materials to Isiugwu Community School, Ohafia.
- Educational materials which includes, a set of Parade band, Filing Steel Cabinet, Modern School desks and chairs, Desktop computer sets, Exercise Books, White Marker Board, Biros, Textbooks on Phonics, Markers, Dusters, etc to Elu Community School, Ohafia
- Distribution of Modern Educational and Instructional Materials to Kpoke Primary School, Mgbaga, Ebem Ohafia
- Distribution of Modern Educational and Instructional Materials to Aggrey Memorial Primary School, Arochukwu
- Distribution of Modern Educational and Instructional Materials to Uburu Community Primary School, Ihechiowa
- Distribution of Modern Educational and Instructional Materials to Okpo Community Primary School, Ihechiowa.
- distribution of modern Educational and Instructional Materials which includes a set of Parade band, Filing Steel Cabinet, Modern School desks and chairs, Desktop computer sets, Exercise Books, White Marker Board, Biros, Textbooks on Phonics, Markers, Dusters, among others to Primary Schools in Ihechiowa, Isu and Ututu in Arochukwu LGA .
- distribution of Educational and Instructional materials to the over 180 Public schools across the 22 wards in the Federal Constituency being part of Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole’s 2020 constituency projects he attracted through the Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC in the 2020 FGN budget
