Ikenna Ukwa Commences Free Temporary Transportation Scheme for Ohafia Residents

In a remarkable demonstration of compassionate leadership and commitment to the welfare of the people, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, APC flag bearer for the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, has launched a temporary free transportation scheme for residents of Ohafia.

The initiative, which operates from Amaekpu to Akanu, is aimed at easing the transportation challenges currently facing the people following the ban on commercial motorcycles (Okada) in Ohafia. Plans are also on the way to extend it to other metropolitan areas in Ohafia.

For many residents, especially traders, farmers, students, civil servants, artisans, the elderly, and women, the restriction on Okada operations has created significant hardship.

Daily movement has become more difficult, transportation costs have increased, and many people have been forced to trek long distances to carry out their daily activities.

Understanding these challenges and the urgent need to cushion their effects, Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa through the Ikenna & Jenn Ukwa Foundation and the Ikenna Ukwa Progressive Group, has stepped in with this thoughtful intervention to temporarily bridge the transportation gap and provide immediate relief to the people.

As the temporary free transportation scheme begins operations between Amaekpu and Akanu, residents are encouraged to take advantage of the service, cooperate with the operators, and ensure that the buses are used responsibly so that more people can benefit.
