IKENNA & JENN UKWA FOUNDATION SPONSORS FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH IN OHAFIA
Yesterday, Saturday 11th October 2025, Hon (Dr) Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa and his wife, Lolo Jennifer E. Ukwa, under the aegis of their foundation, IKENNA & JENN UKWA FOUNDATION, in collaboration with IKENNA UKWA PROGRESSIVE GROUP sponsored a free medical outreach and eye tests for Owuwanyanwu, which comprises of Okagwe, Nkwebi, Ndi Uduma Ukwu, Oboro and Ndi Aku communities in Ohafia LGA of Abia State.
The free medical outreach and eye tests which took place at the Okagwe community hall were attended by men, women and children who needed medical care.
The beneficiaries were highly elated and appreciated Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa and his wife, for their kind gestures and thoughtfulness, which they described as rare and unprecedented.
According to the sponsors, their aim is to give back to the society by providing essential healthcare services to the vulnerable populations, particularly in rural areas, thereby reducing high mortality and natality rate.
Since its inception, the foundation has conducted multiple free medical outreaches in villages across Ohafia and neighbouring areas, including Uzuakoli in Bende LGA of Abia State, and has also covered hospital bills for patients unable to afford medical care.
The free medical outreach includes physician’s assessment, vital signs screening, free eye screening and glasses to individuals with vision problems, blood pressure and sugar screening, and free drugs to over 700 beneficiaries including feeding to the elderly and the children.
