GIRL’S HOSTEL IN FGC OHAFIA FACILITATED BY IKENNA UKWA COMPLETED & AWAITING FORMAL HANDOVER
The new Girl’s Hostel in Federal Government College Ohafia, facilitated by the Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President of Nigeria, Hon (Dr) Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa has been completed by the contractor and awaiting to be formally handed over to the School management for use.
The structure comprises convenience (toilet and bathroom) on both sides of the hostel, with perimeter fencing.
Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa facilitated the project to address the challenges of accommodation for the students; which is also part of his efforts to contribute to academic growth and development in Arochukwu and Ohafia LGAs, even as his foundation, which he co-founded with his wife, Lolo Jennifer E. Ukwa has distributed academic materials to schools in Ohafia LGA, registration of NECO examinations to indigent students and grants to the needy students in various institutions of learning, among others.
Also, Chief Ikenna Ukwa has already installed solar powered street lights in the school environment, in order to provide the ambience and serenity for the students who are boarders, especially during the night.
