IKENNA UKWA ATTRACTS 300 UNITS SOLAR POWERED STREET LIGHTS IN AROCHUKWU
The Senior Legislative Aide to the Nigerian Senate President, Hon (Dr) Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa has once again demonstrated his commitment to community development by attracting 300 units of solar powered street lights for the people of Arochukwu, in Arochukwu LGA of Abia State.
The project worth millions of naira which he facilitated through the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, will be handled by Kaplan Consult limited. It will be installed in Akama/New Market Road in Obinkita Arochukwu and its environs, with work expected to commence by May 2025 and completed before the end of the month.
Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa disclosed this cheering news on Sunday 20th April 2025 when he hosted and organized an enlarged meeting with the All Progressive Congress, APC stakeholders in Isimkpu Town Hall, Arochukwu.
The Founder of IKENNA & JENN UKWA FOUNDATION, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa expressed his determination to continue bringing development to communities in Abia State, particularly in Arochukwu and Ohafia LGAs. He added that more communities will benefit as he is working tirelessly in setting up developmental plans that will cut across the communities in Arochukwu and Ohafia LGAs.







“I am not yet in any elective position but as an individual who loves development, I have been putting in efforts that will bring change. I will continue to do my best and ensure that we have the basic amenities and infrastructures that will better the lives of our people”, he said.
In their respective speeches, the President General of Nzuko Arochukwu worldwide, Mazi Nnadozie Udensi, an APC stakeholder in the State and illustrious son of Arochukwu kingdom, Mazi Chijioke Okoro and the former Chairman of Arochukwu LGA, Chief Chijioke Jonas extolled the exemplary leadership of Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa in facilitating projects for his people. They commended his humility, accessibility, and straightforwardness and further described him as a goal getter and selfless humanitarian with passion for community development.
“He isn’t occupying any elective position and yet, he has started doing well by facilitating projects for his people in Ohafia and Arochukwu. This project is laudable and we appreciate him for using his position to change the narratives and better the lots of his people. We have known him and we know he will even do better when occupying an elective position”, they said.
While assuring him of the unflinching support of the Arochukwu people in his future life endeavors, the Arochukwu APC stakeholders prayed for God’s continued blessings, protection and success as he pursue his life dreams and aspirations.

Recall that Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa had earlier last year attracted over 200 units of solar powered street lights for the people of Ebem Ohafia, while Okon Aku and Oboro communities in Ohafia have also benefited with the sole aim of improving infrastructure, enhancing safety and security for residents and benefitting communities.
