ABIA STATE POLICE COMMAND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES FOR THE 2025 NATIONAL POLICE DAY

In commemoration of the National Police Day on 7th April 2025 and in compliance with the community engagement directives of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, from 3rd to 7th April 2025,

the Abia State Police Command will host series of community engagement programs designed to foster the spirit of commitment, qualitative service, and partnership.

PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES INCLUDES

Thursday, 3rd April 2025 – Officers’ Conference
The activities will begin with a conference for officers of the command at the Officers’ Mess. This conference will feature engaging sessions, including health talk, public relations practice, planning, and strategizing; a moment of critical appraisal and emphasizing commitment to quality service.

Friday, 4th April 2025 Stakeholders Engagement & Medical Outreach
Stakeholders engagement meeting will be held at the State Headquarters, running concurrently with a medical outreach at the same venue which will continue throughout the day including a Juma’at prayer at the Command Mosque.

Saturday, 5th April 2025 Fitness Walk & Community Clean-Up Exercise
The fitness walk will commence at 0800hrs from Opara Square, followed by a community clean-up exercise at Orieugba Market.

Sunday, 6th April 2025 Thanksgiving Service
Thanksgiving service will be held at the Command Chapel within the Command Headquarters.

Monday, 7th April 2025 Walkathon & Press Briefing
The activities will conclude with a Walkathon, followed by a press briefing by the Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, presenting notable achievements of the Command to mark the end of the National Police Day.

The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa reassures the good people of Abia of his commitment to building a professional, rule-of-law-compliant, and people-friendly police force in consonance with the vision of the Inspector General of police. It is to be noted that the protection of life and property remain the utmost priority of Abia state police command.
