GODA FORGE STRONGER SECURITY TIES WITH NEW 14 BRIGADE COMMANDER, OHAFIA

The Director General of the Greater Ohafia Development Authority (GODA), Engr. Obinna Odum, alongside the Ohafia Local Government Chairman, Chief Eleanya Kalu, and other prominent government officials, yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the newly posted Brigadier General of the 14th Brigade, Ohafia.
The high-level delegation visit, which included the presence of the Commissioner of Science and Technology, Hon. David Kalu; Secretary to Ohafia LGA, Dr. Celestine Ude; and GM., Abia State Road Traffic and Safety Management Agency, ARTSMA, Col. (Rtd) Ezichi, became a session for productive discussions focusing on fortifying security in Ohafia and its environs, aligning their strategies with the comprehensive security framework laid out by His Excellency, the Governor of Abia State.
The engagement, which aimed at strengthening relationship between the army and civilians within the region, underscored the importance of collaboration between military authorities and government bodies in ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
While expressing gratitude for the visit, the 14 Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Hassan Muhammed Bello, assured the delegation of the military’s readiness to cooperate with civil authorities to maintain law and order. He reaffirmed the 14th Brigade’s dedication to safeguarding all nooks and crannies, contributing to the Governor’s vision of a secure and prosperous Abia State.

The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to strengthen partnerships, share intelligence, and implement proactive measures to address emerging security concerns in the region and its surrounding communities.
