SENATOR ORJI KALU COMMENDS IKENNA UKWA FOR ENERGIZING APC IN AROCHUKWU/OHAFIA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY
The Senator Representing Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has eulogised the Senior Legislative Aide to the President of Nigerian Senate, Hon. Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa for strengthening and energizing the APC in Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency through relentless grassroots engagement with party stakeholders and members.
During a visit to Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa’s country home in Amaekpu Ohafia on January 8, 2026, the Abia former Governor commended Ukwa’s efforts, noting that the presence of the party leaders and stakeholders who welcomed him demonstrates Ikenna’s strong party engagement and love for him. Chief Orji Kalu emphasized that Ukwa’s efforts in the party will further position the party for victory in the 2027 elections and urged party members to rally behind President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid while avoiding actions that could undermine party growth.
He pledged his support for whoever emerges as the party’s flagbearer for various positions.
In his speech, the Former Finance Minister, Dr. Kalu Idika Kalu reaffirmed his unalloyed support for the APC-led administration as one of the Pathfinders. He promised to personally work with the stakeholders to ensure that only credible, qualified candidates are supported to represent the party at all levels, promising to back those who can deliver real results for Arochukwu/Ohafia federal Constituency and Abia at large.
High Chief Uche Ogboso, the APC leader in Ohafia LGA, lauded Hon. Ikenna Ukwa’s impactful grassroots work, stressing that the leadership will “go indoor” to vet and support the strongest contender capable of delivering victory in 2027.
Chief Stanley Orji Oba in his closing remark said Ikenna Ukwa has been the glue holding the APC together in Arochukwu/Ohafia federal Constituency as he has constantly rally stakeholders, setting up ward and LGA offices, among others.
“Ikenna Ukwa is not just talking the talk, he’s walking the walk, turning goodwill into tangible wins for the party and the people and we are pleased with him”, he added.
In his welcome address, the Chief Host, Chief Ikenna Ukwa expressed gratitude to Senator Orji Uzor for the visit. He promised never to relent but will continue to do everything possible to ensure that the APC in Arochukwu/Ohafia federal Constituency remains formidable, strengthened, peaceful and unified for victory.
The strategic tour and meeting was attended by arrays of Dignitaries, party leaders and stakeholders from Abia North, including community leaders and Revered Monarchs from Ohafia.
