IKENNA UKWA DONATES CUSTOMIZED EXERCISE BOOKS & OTHER ACADEMIC MATERIALS TO SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN EZIAFOR & NDI IBE OHAFIA
… Pays School Fees To Select Senior Secondary Students
The Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President of Nigeria, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa has continued the donation of customized exercise books and other academic materials to schools in Ohafia, as part of his contributions to the advancement of education in Ohafia and beyond.
Mr Richard Ukwa, who led some members of the IKENNA UKWA MOBILIZATION GROUP, on behalf of Chief Ikenna Ukwa visited Eziafor Secondary School and Ndi Ibe Secondary School, all in Ohafia LGA of Abia State.
Mr Ukwa while addressing the students urged them to remain focused in their academics and shun all social vices capable of ruining their future, adding that education as the bedrock of the nation, will give them the necessary training and character that will enable them to contribute meaningfully and positively to the society.
In the same vein, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa used the opportunity to pay school fees to select 10 students from both secondary schools and also donated school sandals/belts to other students who had none.
The students in their respective responses applauded Chief Ikenna Ukwa’s gesture and thoughtfulness, especially at this moment some parents find it difficult to afford some basic academic materials. They thanked him and his team for coming and promised never to misuse the opportunity given to them to learn.
Recall that, apart from the donation of customized exercise books and educational materials to schools which have gone round in primary schools in Ohafia, Abiriba and Nkporo, Chief Ikenna Ukwa also recently attracted the construction of modern girls hostel in Federal Government College Ohafia which has been completed and under the auspices of his foundation, IKENNA & JENN UKWA FOUNDATION, which he co-founded with his wife, has remained consistent in paying educational grants and bursaries to indigent pupils and students in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
