BREAKING: IKENNA UKWA LIGHTENS ISU, IHECHIOWA & UTUTU COMMUNITIES WITH SOLAR POWERED STREET LIGHTS

… As The Contractor Completes Project

The contractor handling the installation of solar powered street lights in Isu, Ihechiowa and Ututu communities in Arochukwu LGA of Abia State, Kaplan Consults limited has completed the project within three weeks.

The project, which was attracted by the Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President of Nigeria, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, and dedicated to the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu , was officially handed over to the contractor, by the domiciled Agency, the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC at the palace of HRH, Eze Okpo Christopher, the Ezeogo Obinto in the presence of other traditional Rulers and community leaders from the benefitting communities on 3rd September 2025.

These gestures and interventions from Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa will help enhance security, the social and economic life of the benefitting communities, which is in line with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who mandated the NDDC to ensure the lightening-up of all communities in the Niger Delta region.

While Chief Ikenna Ukwa is making efforts to facilitate the next phase for the installation of solar powered street lights in Nkporo communities and other needy communities in Ohafia and Arochukwu LGAs which is currently receiving accelerated attention, Ebem, Okon-Aku, Oboro, Abiriba, Elu and Amaekpu communities in Ohafia LGA and Obinkita in Arochukwu LGA has benefitted already.
