IKENNA UKWA PROVIDES MODERN BRAND NEW WHEELCHAIR TO MR BEN JAMES
Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, a Philanthropist and the Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President of Nigeria has provided a modern brand new wheelchair to support Mr Ben James from Amaogudu Abiriba in Ohafia LGA of Abia State, who is physically challenged.
Chief Engr George Nnanna Kalu, an APC stalwart from Abiriba, who represented Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa while presenting the wheelchair to the beneficiary in his house at Amaogudu Abiriba, said the gesture is another demonstration of Ikenna Ukwa’s commitment to show love and support to those with special needs, with the sole aim of enhancing mobility and inclusivity and also to encourage and uplift Mr James and other physically challenged individuals who may be facing any form of stigmatization.
Chief Ikenna Ukwa’s heartwarming gesture towards Mr. Ben James started on Saturday, July 26, 2025, when he attended the official handover of a solar-powered street light project in Abiriba community, which he facilitated through the NDDC .
At the residence of Engr Chief George Nnanna Kalu, in Abiriba, the compassionate and kindhearted Ikenna Ukwa noticed how Mr. Ben James struggled with his worn-out wheelchair and was moved to act.
Chief Ukwa promptly asked his friend, Mr. Ndukwo Kalu, Ndy Scott to arrange for a modern brand-new wheelchair to be delivered to Mr. James within a week. True to his word, the new wheelchair was delivered today Friday August 1, 2025, bringing overwhelming joy and gratitude to Mr. James and his family. This act of kindness not only alleviated their son’s suffering but also put smiles on their faces.
Chief Ndubuisi Eme (Ugo 1) accompanied Chief Nnanna Kalu while Mr Ben James’s old wheelchair was gifted to another physically challenged lady, who had none and was present during the donation.
