AMAEKPU YOUTH COUNCIL PRESENTS PHILANTHROPIST PAR EXCELLENCE AWARD TO IKENNA UKWA
The Representatives of the Amaekpu Youth Council today Sunday 27th July 2025 presented a prestigious award plaque to Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa as, “OMEPURUOHA 1 OF AMAEKPU,” in his country home, Amaekpu Ohafia.
The Amaekpu Youths said the meritorious award is in recognition of his selfless service to the Youths and humanity at large. The Youths thanked him immensely for facilitating the installation of solar powered street lights in various locations in Amaekpu community and the football competition he hosted for communities in Ohafia North and South, which Amaekpu FC clinched the first position and received N1,000,000 (One Million Naira only) as cash prize 🏆 .
In addition, they express gratitude to him for prioritizing the welfare of the women, youths and the pupils in the community by distributing food items, fertilizers and academic materials respectively, including empowering some Amaekpu sons and daughters with brand new sewing machines who have acquired tailoring skills.
According to them, all these above mentioned kind gestures and goodwill among others, propelled them to honour him as Philanthropist Par Excellence to encourage him in his good works to humanity and society at large.
Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa while reacting thanked them for deeming it fit to honour him. He said the recognition will spur him to do more for the community and Ohafia as a whole.
