Ikenna Ukwa Interacts With Members of IUPG, Assures Of More Developmental Projects In Abiriba Community
Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President of Nigeria, yesterday with his team embarked on a familiarization tour to interact with the members of the Ikenna Ukwa Progressive Group (IUPG) in Agborji and Amaogudu wards in Abiriba, assuring them of more developmental projects. During the visit, he disclosed that he has attracted solar-powered street lights for the Abiriba community, to be installed in Amaeke and Amaogudu communities, through the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa , who is the founder and vision bearer of Ikenna Ukwa Progressive Group, a pro-socio-political group, emphasized his commitment to the growth and development of the Abiriba community through the IUPG and foundation, Ikenna & Jenn Ukwa Foundation, which he co-founded with his wife, Lolo Jennifer E. Ukwa .
He added that, henceforth, he will be interfacing with the members of the group and the APC members and stakeholders, through quarterly familiarization tours, in all the wards to enable him chart a new course, for the continuous progress and development of the group and the party, which will eventually, bring more good tidings for communities in Abiriba Enachioken and Arochukwu and Ohafia LGAs as a whole.










Speaking earlier, the Director General of the Group, Mr Francis Igwe thanked the members for their solidarity and commitment to the growth of the group and the APC. He used the opportunity to highlight some of the achievements of Hon Ikenna Ukwa, in Abiriba, even when he is not holding any elected political position, which includes;
a) Support for indigent students in Abiriba by covering their NECO registration fees.
b) Distribution of customised exercise books and academic materials for pupils in primary schools in Abiriba,
c) Distribution of fertilizers to women in Abiriba to boost crop production,
d) Participation of Abiriba community in the IKENNA & JENN UKWA FOUNDATION football competition for Ohafia South and North, where Abiriba FC won a prize, among others.

Mr Francis Igwe , in addition urged the already registered members to extend hands of fellowship to intending members and remain good ambassadors of the group and dedicated party members. He reaffirmed Mr Ikenna Ukwa’s avowed determination in using his resources and contacts to bring more positive projects that will better their lots and the society at large.
In their various responses, the visibly elated members, who welcomed their guests amidst cheers thanked Ikenna Ukwa for his humility and accessibility, describing him as a progressive-minded and passionate lover of humanity and development. They assured him of their unflinching support in his future endeavors.
“We have seen and heard all that you have been doing for us and our community, Abiriba. As you keep lightening communities, may God keep lightening your path and direct your footsteps to achieve your aim and ambition which is to bring change and development. We assure you of our unalloyed support, loyalty and commitment to your course. Be rest assured that you can always count on us in all that you do”, they affirmed.
