IKENNA UKWA FACILITATES THE INSTALLATION OF SOLAR POWERED STREET LIGHTS IN ABIRIBA, OHAFIA LGA
The Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President of Nigeria, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa has facilitated the provision and installation of solar-powered street lights in Amaeke and Amaogudu Abiriba in Ohafia LGA of Abia State.
Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa announced this cheering news while interacting with residents during the inspection of the ongoing installation of solar street lights in Amaekpu and Elu Ohafia which he attracted. Chief Ukwa while urging community leaders and residents to take ownership of the lights and other government infrastructure to prevent vandalism, said the project and other humanitarian interventions he has facilitated through his foundation, IKENNA & JENN UKWA FOUNDATION, which he co-founded with his wife, Lolo Jennifer E. Ukwa were meant to enhance the quality of lives of the people and leave footprints on the sands of time.
He, however, assured that Arochukwu and Ohafia LGAs will witness even development as he is poised to use his resources and contacts to attract more impactful infrastructures, basic amenities and empowerment that will better the lots of the people.
Meanwhile, the domiciled agency, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC in collaboration with the Abiriba community and the contractor is working out modalities for the official handover of the site to the contractor to enable him to commence work immediately.
