DR. ALEX OTTI’S INFRASTRUCTURE MIRACLES IN ABIA HOMELAND IS OUT OF THIS WORLD.

I can vividly remember Dr. Alex Otti’s inaugural speeches nearly two years ago where he cautiously said to his highly expectant audience that he wasn’t going to promise them any miracles on account of the rot he met on ground but he was going to do his best to rebuild Abia State for the pride of all Abians. But two years on, many of us can now best describe him as ‘a miracle’ worker on account of what we now see as a spectacular Infrastructure quiet revolution going on in the state.

Today’s commissioning of the 45kms Umuahia, Uzuakoli, Akara, Abiriba road project by the former President, His Excellency Chief Aremu Mathew Olusegun Obasanjo is historical, epochal and considered as a landmark epic. The remaining close to 15kms joining Ohafia from Abiriba is expected to be completed before May 29th two years anniversary of the New Abia government of Dr. AlexOtti. It is seriously hoped from sources close to the contractor handling the project that the portion joining Ohafia will be ready before the time of the second anniversary events coming up in May 29th.

I was there last week to attest to this fact. Work is also going on to complete the uncompleted portions of the remaining 43kms taking the highway to Arochukwu. I’m reliably informed that Dr Alex Otti plans to complete the highway up to Arochukwu before his third year anniversary.

It is heartwarming that in our lifetime, one could drive the 100kms from Umuahia to Arochukwu traveling on a nylon asphalted road. The governor will also before the year runs out commission the Igu River bridge along the Bende road to Ohafia at Ozu Abam where we use to have omenuko colonial bridge. Work has reached advanced stages in that project. Also the road from Ozu Abam to Ndi Okereke to Okobo to Arochukwu will be delivered 100% before the third anniversary of governor Alex Otti in office. What more can we the good people of Abia North be asking for?

Abians are no longer a spectacle for sorry but for congratulations. All thanks to Governor Alex Otti and his uncommon courage in fixing the rot of governance of the past 24 years. So we should consider ourselves too lucky because congratulation we all know is better than sorry. Abia people are now gradually taking infrastructure development for granted as catapillar revolution visits all nooks and crannies of our state.

On the flip side, I read a PDP rejoinder struggling to link the reconstruction of the Umuahia, Uzuakoli, Akara, Bende and Abiriba road project to Okezuo Victor Ikpeazu’s government of failure. That claim was both laughable and comical to say the least. Okezuo Ikpeazu’s lack of capacity to govern the state was too embarrassingly household knowledge to all Nigerians. Even if we are to agree that the project is a World Bank rural access road project started during Okezuo Ikpeazu’s years and funded by a $60 million USD facility, what matters always is the courage to see through the completion and delivery of such projects.

Where were these comedians when similar N27 Billion World Bank NEWMAP project for Aba urban renewal facilitated by Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala was embezzled by the same Okezuo Ikpeazu and his government. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala lost face and was shamed by the same Ikpeazu and his looting cabal just because of trying to use her position to help her people. PDP shame on you and your spurious claims.

Dr. Alex Otti and his governance trajectories have exonerated Abians worldwide and have restored our dignity once again as industrious people.
Pretending not to see these landmark changes might be taken for deafness and blindness. These things are clear for the eyes to see and for the ear to hear. We are indeed in the New Abia.
