HON. UCHENDU ENI TOURS SCHOOLS, EMPOWERS INDIGENT PUPILS WITH PSLAT EXAM SPONSORSHIP
Hon. Uchendu Agwu Eni, the Councilor representing Ohafor Ward in Ohafia Local Government Area, and Chief Whip of Ohafia Legislative Council, has launched a transformative initiative to enroll indigent pupils for the General Placement Test (GPT) and Primary School Leaving Assessment Test (PSLAT) across his constituency.
The ongoing program, which was flagged off earlier this month, has already brought relief to several families by ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder young learners from advancing academically. Hon. Eni’s initiative, which covers the full cost of exam registration, testifies to his commitment to support educational policies of Dr. Alex Otti, OFR.
This intervention follows his earlier visits to primary schools in Ohafor ward where he gifted educational materials to pupils. During these visits, he identified the urgent need to sponsor students for GPT/ PSLAT, examinations, recognizing that many families struggle to afford this all important exam registration fees.
The free registration process began at Uma Ukpai Memorial School, Asaga Ohafia, where five pupils were enrolled at no cost. Other schools and their beneficiaries include:

Obviously, this exercise serves as a model for grassroots leadership, demonstrating the direct impact of quality representation. By prioritizing education, Eni is setting a standard that reflects his vision for sustainable development in his constituency, Ohafor ward.
While delivering a vote of thanks, the Headmistress of Ndi Ibe Community School, Mrs. Ufere Mary, among others, expressed gratitude for the free exam registration initiative, describing it as a great relief for both parents and students. She commended Uchendu for following in the footsteps of the indefatigable Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, whose magnanimity has ensured free education for the people.
Uchendu also assured his constituents that the free exam registration is just a glimpse of the many benefits yet to come for his people, in appreciation of their trust in him as the councilor representing Ohafor Political Ward.
