Earlier yesterday, the Executive Mayor of Ohafia LGA, Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu, welcomed the Renewed Hope Initiative to Ohafia, marking a significant milestone in the local government agricultural development.
This innovative program, launched in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, aims to empower young farmers through the Young Farmers Club, Nigeria, an initiative championed by Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
During the event, the Representative of the Wife of the Executive Governor of Abia State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Priscilla Chioma Otti, highlighted the vital role agriculture plays in Abia State’s economy, emphasizing its potential to drive growth and development. Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu, the Mayor of Ohafia LGA, reinforced this message, stressing that agriculture can significantly augment monthly stipends, thereby improving the livelihoods of local communities.
As Ohafia LGA continues to embark on a transformative journey, the Renewed Hope Initiative is poised to play a pivotal role in unlocking the local government agricultural potential, driving economic growth, and improving the lives of its citizens.
