GO, AKPABIO GO.
Much to my earlier predictions and warnings on the ongoing Akpabio Natasha scandalous debacle at the Senate, the Senate President has now been dragged before the International Parliamentary Union by Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan. The stench of the Akpabio defecation is reeking internationally now as we speak. Akpabio’s disgrace has become our collective disgrace. The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will face International riddicle and hostile hashtag for no less an reason than sexual harassment and molestation of women gender in politics, a very sensitive issue of global advocacy. Not for anything serious as usual with our mundane leadership, just because of having an Akpabio as Senate President. A man that emerged without following the due process and also presiding over that all important legislative institution only following his instincts and not allowing the laws of the land to prevail.
He broke his own internal rules of due process and engagement by being a judge over his own case while a country of over 200 million just watched in shock and docility. An important gravamen in law also holds that you cannot be a judge over your own case. Impunity, we all know takes two to tango when the oppressor is nudged on by the oppressed, just like when 109 senators of the 10th Assembly watched, clapped, and supported him to desecrate the office of the President of the Senate. It is indeed payback time for all of them as the cookie is now crumbling before their faces. He will drag himself down together with the entire Senate underwater. Hell will break loose in the Senate as the heat generated by their collective consent will chase them all out of their comfort zones and expose their baggage effects on our sick nation.

Akpabio’s Senate has lost credibility and public trust and the bubble will inevitably go burst. I had warned in my earlier articles that Senator Godswill Akpabio’s inebriation will one day sink the entire ship of the Senate like the titanic. It took one fleeting moment of mistake to sink the unsinkable titanic. It will similarly take an equally another fleeting moment of calamity to topedo our hard earned democracy at the Senate.
The Akpabio cum Senate fury against Natasha Akpoti is grossly unparliamentary and an assault on decency and human conscience. After assaulting the woman’s sexism, they still went ahead to comprehensively strip her naked, suspended her constitutionally guaranteed rights to represent her constituents, took away her official vehicle, disrobed and desecrated her position and kicked her away from the National Assembly like trash just to silence her. And Akpabio is the one supposed to be defending our democratic rights at the National Assembly? Its only in Nigeria you see this kind of personalization and weaponization of power by an individual. This is the worst form of rape on democracy ever witnessed in Nigeria democrszic history.
The big shock is that men like Senator Abdul Ningi, Senator Ali Ndume, Senator Abaribe and others we know that stand for truth and who suffered similar assaults from Akpabio watched and couldn’t support this poor woman being molested and battered right inside the Senate Chambers. I do not want to talk about those other women at the Senate that were too afraid and too upended to offer some help their fellow woman to fend off assaults from predatory men round about them. They have abused their womanhood and history will not be fair on them.
How else do we conclude than to say that Senator Akpabio’s Senate has turned itself to a crime scene and begging for intervention to save it from itself. This urgent intervention will prevent the chaos and planned march by Nigerians to picket the National Assembly for public good.

We therefore call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to urgently return Natasha Akpoti back to her constitutionally guaranteed seat at the Senate to save us from further embarrassment. Other scandals depicting similar accusations against Akpabio are emerging and trending in the public space.
The international dimension to this Akpabio sexual harassment issue will rubbish this government irreparably and cast us in bad light globally. Our democracy can now be said to be in peril and under threat because of the conduct of few reckless individuals at the Senate. Godswill Akpabio must be excused at the Senate for being unfit for that high office before he does further damage to our fledgling democracy.
Enough is Enough.
