GOVERNOR ALEX CHIOMA OTTI AT THE OPENING OF ATTNEWS ABIA NORTH ZONAL OFFICE
I had the honour of representing the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, at the official opening of the Abia Think Tank News (ATTNEWS) Online Abia North Zonal Office, held at the SKOG Complex, Amaekpu in Ohafia Local Government Area.
Governor Otti, through my representation, charged media practitioners, particularly ATTNEWS, to remain the voice of truth and a catalyst for societal transformation. He emphasized the media’s crucial role in shaping public perception, holding leadership accountable, and fostering development.
The Governor reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to press freedom and fostering an enabling environment for ethical journalism. He called on ATTNEWS to uphold professionalism, factual reportage, and integrity in media practice, stressing that an informed society is a progressive society.
Governor Otti also highlighted the administration’s strides in governance, including infrastructural renewal, economic revitalization, youth empowerment, healthcare reforms, civil service transformation, and enhanced security.
He noted that workers’ salaries and pensions are paid 100% on or before the 28th of every month, primary and secondary healthcare centers have been revitalized with modern medical facilities, and education remains a top priority in ensuring academic excellence in Abia State.
It was a remarkable occasion that reaffirmed the commitment of Governor Otti’s administration to transparency, good governance, and media partnership in building a better Abia State.
