MAYOR OHAFIA LGA RECEIVES HOMELAND SECURITY CHIEF
…As Abia Government Plans to Equip Fire Service Station in Ohafia
Today, Mr. Chukwunenye Alajemba, SSA to the Governor of Abia State on Homeland Security paid a courtesy call on Chief Eleanya Kalu Mayor of Ohafia LGA.
The visit was essentially to synergise towards relevant security measures especially in Ohafia LGA alongside a culture of collective vigilance within the local government.
Mr. Alajemba, with the full backing of by the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, made a commitment to fully equip the fire service station in Ohafia LGA and implored the host community to always respond to and prevent future fire outbreaks timely and effectively as exemplified by the recent incident at one of Ohafia’s major markets.
This gesture was warmly welcomed by the Mayor who expressed gratitude to the state government and reaffirmed the ever readiness of his administration towards extending and ensuring adequate security on every inch the local government.
