As Abia State enters the Yuletide season, Governor Alex Chioma Otti’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Abians, residents, and visitors remains unwavering. The recent donation of 20 brand new security vehicles and essential gadgets to security agencies in the state is a testament to this commitment.
Governor Otti’s efforts to enhance security in Abia State are multifaceted. Operation Crush, established shortly after his assumption of office, has significantly guaranteed security in the state. This initiative has provided a safe and secure environment for businesses to thrive and for citizens to live without fear.
Beyond security, Governor Otti’s transformational agenda encompasses infrastructure development and socio-economic enablers. His vision is to make Abia an investment hub and entrepreneurial destination in Nigeria. To achieve this, the governor has been working tirelessly to provide critical infrastructure, including roads and public buildings. The groundbreaking ceremony of the Abia International Airport is a significant milestone in this regard.
In addition to infrastructure development, Governor Otti has made significant strides in critical sectors such as education, health, and agriculture. The renovation and equipping of hospitals and 200 Primary Health Centers across the state are notable achievements in the health sector.
The governor’s administration has also empowered over 300 trained Abians at CSS Farm, Nasarawa State, with over 600 Million Naira to improve agricultural production and productivity. Partnerships with private sector operators have been established to promote agricultural development and mechanized farming in the state.
