The Ultimate Movement for the Creation of Anioma State Gains Momentum
The United Igbo Elders Council (UNIEC) Worldwide, in collaboration with stakeholders across the Igbo nation, is rallying support for the creation of Anioma State. Following the Anioma Stakeholders Mega Summit held in Asaba on August 31, 2024, plans are now underway for a grand Igbo Elders and Stakeholders Mega Summit to be held in Enugu.
The call for Anioma State reflects a broader mission to restore Igbo unity, reverse historical marginalization, and empower Igbo communities spread across 13 Nigerian states.
This movement underscores the need for all Igbo people within Nigeria and the diaspora to unite under the shared principles of “Igbo bu otu” and “Igwebuike.”
