The Dr Alex Otti administration in the State will remain committed to delivering on the promises that won it the enduring support of our people.

We can already see that in the unprecedented investments in, and restoration of public infrastructure, regular payment of the emoluments of workers and retirees, improved urban sanitation and security of lives and property, especially in communities that were hitherto overran by terrorists.

Even then, the Government will as a matter of responsibility, respond vigorously to any attempt to mislead the public with barefaced lies, half truths and irritatory comments on social and traditional media by individuals sympathetic to the old order, and others working to return Abia to the misery of the past.

Verbal responses, and maybe “missiles” shall be launched when the situation so demands…

The pen shall be used as a strong weapon when we need to…

The instruments of the law, especially the courts, shall be approached when false, incting and misleading allegations are made…

To be clear, how this Government runs or engages with the peddlers of falsehood shall not be determined by megalomaniacs with access to social media platforms…

What you give is what you get….

This Government was elected even with all your stiff opposition and circulation of falsehoods on social and traditional media…

You said Dr Otti will not win, that he is not from your village, that only those from your village shall rule…

You made threats and attacked those who would not buy into your “only persons from our village must rule” anthem…

And yet, Dr Otti won, resoundingly….

Why do you think you matter?

Well, we are here to repel you, and restrict you to your cocoon where lies are encouraged in the name of politics…

We did that during the election…

We shall have no problem doing that again today..
