The Alaigbo Achievers Legacy, also known as THE GREAT IGBO ACHIEVERS, an honorific independent legal entity, a Home- driven and delivery investment organization, recognised by the government of Nigeria for the recognition of individuals and corporate organizations towards Excellence, in line with the ”Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development Philosophy of Aku Ruru Ulo, to promote good societal values and right ideals within the Igbo nation.
The Great Igbo Achievers was conceptualized mainly to adequately and constructively examine landmark achievements and signature legacy projects of state governors, members of the National Assembly and notable individuals of Igbo speaking states with proven integrity, hard work and dedication for recognition and Excellent Award.
The Great Igbo Achievers is organized annually to celebrate and accredit the landmark and uncommon achievements of captains of industries and accomplished entrepreneurs within Igbo nation.
We are adequately committed to ensure that men and women who rendered selfless and noteworthy services to their states and indeed the entire Igbo nation are initiative that seeks to immortalize the indelible achievements of indigenous Ndigbo and honor prestigious individuals, the 1st eleven’s in their various fields of endeavor.
VISION: To evolve and pursue a digital benchmark of universal excellence in all aspects of life, and encourage the Igbo everywhere and like-minded compatriots to be people of high individual and collective accomplishments, and global best practice role models in line with the benchmark.
MISSION To continually conscientize and mobilize the peoples, and take other lawful measures to accomplish the various tasks embodied in the Vision, including:
- Formulating a credible hierarchical system of recognitions, awards and other honours to be annually bestowed on individuals, institutions, civil societies and corporate organizations that meet the high standards of the Vision.
- To encourage a patriotic invest-home or Aku Ruru Ulo Philosophy, facilitate security, fast-forward all-round economic development, modernization, and youth empowerment, in the various Igbo and like-minded regions.
- To make pragmatic step toward the growth, development and sustainability of the economy of Igbo speaking states , and act as an occasional or ad-hoc Think Tank on issues bordering on the aforesaid Vision and Mission.
- To promote, validate and grant meritorious award to eminent Ndigbo sons and daughters who rendered invaluable services to their states in various capacities with a view to encouraging others to emulate them and invest their wealth in the Igbo nation as well.
- Show-casing the impressed pedigree of eminent personalities, in order to inspire Ndigbo towards the integration of economic factors (by investing their wealth at home and building the Igbo nation (Aku Ruru Ulo n’ Alaigbo Amaka).
BRIEF HISTORY OF ALAIGBO:
Alaigbo constitutes the single largest ethnic group in the world and geographically. Ndigbo, by reason of studies, can be said to be occupying the Centre of the earth. Alaigbo is the indigenous home of Igbo people that is made of Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Benue, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Enugu, Imo , Kogi, Rivers; States of major and minor Igbo indignity. Ndigbo are known all over the world for their doggedness, resilience, hard work and industriousness.
The foregoing steadily afford us the opportunity to celebrate individuals whose achievement have placed the Alaigbo on both national and global maps.
By celebrating eminent Igbo sons and daughters of noble cause, those exceptionally reliable and dependable ones who had distinguished themselves and achieved greatness in their chosen fields of endeavour, the legacy awards are just a continuation of those noble global and Igbo traditions, such as:
i.Individuals of Alaigbo who have greatly impacted on the lives of the people through their programs and projects with preponderance of evidence on ground to show for it (Aku Ruu Ulo N’ Alaigbo Amaka), who have already laid strong foundation to stimulate economic viability of the Igbo nation.
ii.Individuals and professionals who have distinguished themselves in their chosen careers and have sacrificed for the general development of Alaigbo in particular and humanity in general; the heart and soul of their respective communities (Aku Ruru Ulo n’ Alaigbo Amaka)
SECURITY ISSUE:
As the issue of security is very vital to economic development and its sustainability. The Great Igbo Achievers will not relent in its effort at ensuring that policies and strategies that would enhance security are put in place so that lives and property of the people are guaranteed for sustainable economic development.
