The National Leader and some of the Local Government Coordinators of the Abia Redemption Mandate, today paid a visit to Bishop Dr Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha at his office in Umuahia to formally adopt him as their preferred candidate for the governorship of Abia State in the soon coming elections.
Speaking at the occasion, the leader of the group, and National Coordinator, Odoemelam Onuzuruike told Bishop Onuoha that his group, desirous of redeeming Abia State from the shackles of misrule and underdevelopment decided to adopt him being a servant of God. He said that his group had carefully examined all the candidates seeking the office of governor of Abia before making the choice. He said that the choice of him was borne out of a deep conviction that he would govern Abia State well and redeem the people from the suffering they go through every day due to lack of several basic necessities. The group pledged to work hard for Bishop Sunday Onuoha’s election come March 2023.
Receiving the group on behalf of the ADC gubernatorial candidate, the Coordinator of Abia North political forum, Dr Uduma Nnate, thanked them and applauded their choice of Bishop Sunday Onuoha. Dr Nnate told them that Abia North Political Forum had similarly selected the bishop after a thorough appraisal of other aspirants from Abia North zone. He assured them that Bishop Onuoha would never disappoint Abians. Dr Nnate urged them to work hard in taking the message of Bishop Onuoha and Amb. Dr. Osita Offor (Ultimate Commander) down to Abians at the nooks and crannies of the State.
The group leaders numbering thirteen in included LG women coordinators and a youth coordinator. The Coordinator for Bende, Chief Chukwuemeka Kalu, expressed appreciation for the way they were received and accepted. Mr Colin’s Chukwu, Coordinator for Umunneochi LG, finally prayed for the victory of Bishop Sunday Onuoha and Amb. Dr. Osita Offor (Ultimate Commander)
