To the best of my knowledge, the modus operandi guarding this country permits right to freedom of speech but in Umunneochi reverse is the case. How possibly can an elected sitting representative at the Federal House, issue out a directive to her workers to beat up one 《Mr. Ezigboo Onwukwe》over a mere argument? Now I know that absolute power corrupts absolutely. It really intoxicate. Report reaching my desk hinted that just this past Saturday one of our able sons from Umuaku was assaulted for airing out his view concerning the rate of kidnapping and criminal activities in our land and also suggested the best way to curb the menace. According to Mr. Ezigbo, “looking at the rate of kidnapping following Osinachi’s burial, the various authorities beginning from the federal, state and local government were supposed to have made adequate provisions for protection of lives and properties” that was the bad comment he made; at this point, one of the women working with the authority representing us at the Federal House engaged in war of words with Ezigbo, which resulted to molestation, thereafter the information got to our representative ), who ordered police men attached to her to storm a beer parlour at Obinna Apolos handcuffed, aprehend and bring to my compound the lunatic speaking ill about me. The police men stormed the place with a Hilux, carried out the order. Mr Ezigbo was tortured well in her compound. Later,boss asked that Mr. Ezigbo be taken out of her compound on the ground that he’s a lunatic. A question, is this how we are going to be represented?
